POWERHOUSE × OS CODE Core Team Recruitment
We are scouting proactive builders, creative storytellers, strategists, and organizers ready to take real ownership, work with industry mentors, and lead the OS Code chapter.
What you're signing up for.
Real impact, genuine accountability.
Becoming a core team member is not an honorary credential for your LinkedIn headline. It is a commitment to lead, execute under pressure, and create something durable.
Absolute Ownership
Core members do not wait for instruction sheets. You identify bottlenecks, propose bold solutions, take the reins, and see projects through to completion.
Execution Under Pressure
Hackathons, product launches, workshops, and high-visibility community events will have real deadlines. You stay calm, organized, and focused on delivery.
Consistent Contribution
A great sprint followed by weeks of silence hurts the team. We value students who show up reliably week in and week out, communicating clearly and supporting peers.
Four available roles.
Find where you belong.
Read the responsibilities for each team thoroughly before submitting your application. Every role has defined ownership and plays a pivotal part in the chapter.
TECHNICAL TEAM
Responsible for the technical side of the chapter. This includes working on coding and development, building technical projects, maintaining technical infrastructure where required, solving technical problems, and contributing to the development side of OS Code initiatives.
SOCIAL MEDIA TEAM
Responsible for building and maintaining the chapter's online presence. This includes content creation, managing social media platforms, growing the community's reach and followers, documenting activities, creating posts/reels/other content, and keeping the community engaged and active online.
MARKETING TEAM
Responsible for promoting OS Code activities and helping increase participation and visibility. This includes outreach, promotion, communication, creating awareness around events and initiatives, connecting with students and communities, and developing strategies to increase engagement.
EVENT MANAGEMENT TEAM
Responsible for planning and executing events and activities. This includes planning events, coordinating with teams, handling logistics, obtaining necessary approvals, coordinating with relevant college authorities, managing execution on the day of the event, and ensuring that events run smoothly.
The Code of Conduct.
Joining our core means holding yourself to a higher standard. Here is what we expect from day one.
Integrity & Accountability
When you accept an assignment or event deliverable, your peers depend on you. If an obstacle emerges, you raise a flag immediately rather than letting deadlines slip silently.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Teams are not silos. The Tech team helps Event Management with registration software; Social Media works with Marketing on campaigns; everyone helps pitch in during flagship chapter events.
Continuous Learning & Curiosity
You don't need to know every technology or skill today, but you must possess an intense willingness to learn fast, absorb feedback, and push your limits.
Student Community First
Our mission is to empower student developers at East Point College of Engineering and Technology. Every workshop, event, and hackathon must create genuine value for the participants.
